Smoother checkout, faster starts on the floor
Retail has two clocks: the cart about to be abandoned and the hire starting Monday. SenseCrypt signs in shoppers without passwords and puts crew on shared devices.

02The outcomes
What retail runs on: SenseCrypt
Checkout keeps moving
Returning customers confirm on their own phone and the order goes through. No password stands between the cart and the sale.
Stuffing comes up empty
Customer accounts have no password behind them, so credentials spilled in someone else's breach can't be replayed here.
One identity across every channel
Web, app, or in-store screen: the customer approves with the same glance at their own phone wherever they shop.
High-value orders, verified
Before a big-ticket order or a stored-card change, the prompt names the exact request. Only the account holder's live face approves.
Seasonal staff, same-day
Enroll new hires from the photo in their file, provision through SCIM, and revoke the whole cohort when the season ends.
Shared registers, personal accountability
Crew verify on their own phones to open shared registers and back-office tools, so every discount, refund, and override traces to a person.
Franchise and supplier portals
Give each franchisee or supplier an isolated tenant with your branding: one platform for the whole network.
03The failure modes
What gets in the way today
Abandoned at the password
A forgotten password at checkout is an abandoned cart, and every reset email is another chance to drop off.
Loyalty points are currency
Passwords reused from other sites get stuffed into your accounts. When the points drain, your brand takes the blame.
Seasonal churn, constant tickets
Every peak season hundreds join and leave within weeks; provisioning and deprovisioning by hand can't keep up.
Resets eat the contact center
Password resets are a top contact-center driver: cost without a single unit sold.
Signed in here, stranger there
The web remembers a shopper the app forgot, and the kiosk starts from zero: every channel authenticates differently.
Guest checkout wins by default
Faced with one more password, customers choose guest checkout. The relationship ends at the receipt.
04The compliance map
What the regulator sees
No passwords, no biometric database. The data a retail breach normally exposes was never collected.
NIST SP 800-63B — phishing resistance
Under NIST SP 800-63B, a one-time code typed by hand does not qualify as phishing-resistant. Checkout step-up and loyalty sign-in run as a live-face approval on the enrolled phone, leaving nothing for stuffing or relay kits to use.
Read the sourceGDPR — data minimisation (Art. 5(1)(c))
Verification is biometric-blind: no face template is ever stored, so there is no biometric data to minimize or defend. That supports the data-minimization principle in Article 5(1)(c).
Read the sourceFace matching in SenseCrypt is independently evaluated in the Face Recognition Technology Evaluation under Seventh Sense's own name, with results anyone can inspect. See the NIST report card (seventhsense-000)
